Flowering the cross...08!

Flowering the Cross during worship

The flowering of the cross is a tradition that we started in this church over 10 years ago. I grew up in the Episcopal church, and flowered many crosses during my childhood. To me, Easter isn't Easter unless there's the flowering of the cross. So, the husband and I started this tradition for our children and the families of our church. It's a awesome thing to see a bare cross decended upon by children, only for them to walk away and see the beautiful flowering! Surely this was what it was like the day Christ rose from the dead....just simply beautiful. Thanks Mom & Dad for a wonderful tradition.
